Hey, guess what! It's BellaRIFFIC FRIDAY & it's time to show off our masculine cards. And I have a masuculine masterpiece that shou;d hopefully make up for the 'kiddy' style card I sent my dad for his birthday in Feb. After it was done and mailed it dawned on me that I could have used this...
'vintage HI WHEEL' from Stamping Bella. This is part of the 'Three Sisters' line by Beth Fuller. Linda had made an GORJUSS card for Mark last fall, and I had yet to use this rubber and get it all dirty. Last night I pulled out this card...must have been a magic hat somewhere, because how this came to be...it's beyond me. I just futzed -n- futzed, until I had somethig I liked. I emailed it to Emily last night and told her that this wasn't my usual card & it took me hours to finish.
I worked some embellishments on there and in case you were wondering where that checkered flourishy thing is from, it's Tim Holtz/Sizzix edge die. And it's not the easiest to see, because I didn't want dark ink to over power my bike... I stamped some texture using more Stamping Bella rubber. I used the french script from the eclectic mini sets by Isabelle Norris & also the checkered stamp from another ecelectic mini set. {when I use these I do not mount them, I just put them in my hand, ink and press. I used Distress ink in Vintage Photo & Soot}
The die cut letters DAD are also a Tim Holtz/Sizzix die.
...card recipe:
Bazzill cs, Octber Afternoon 'Sasparilla' 8x8 pad, kraft cs, 'vintage HI WHEEL', 'eclectic MINI french script' {set of 3} & 'eclectic MINI checkered' {set of 3} from Stamping Bella, VersaFine ink, Distress ink 'Old Paper', 'Vintage Photo' & 'Soot', colored pencil {bike seat, handle bars and ground}, twine, button, sewing, Scrap Dots, Tim Holtz/Sizzix edge die & alphabet die.
Next week the BellaRIFFIC challenge is a sketch, but we are picking our favorite sketch from the year, this far. How fun! {but which one???}
If you have yet to check out allllll the new release images from Stamping Bella, and have yet to 'meet' Emily's two ~new~ artists...check out the post HERE.
